This is what practitioners have
been saying about the new Trackers Plus
Wow!!!!
Love these ... they are so to the point. Well set out and I love
how it gives examples of evidence to look out for. The prompting
of how to follow on with activities or the support that will be
given when planning new or extended activities is something that
I have been asking the team to do. Planning and evaluating all
in one for each child… great. I think that this will prompt each
member of the team to be thinking about each child’s abilities
and to plan for each individual’s needs.
I really like this assessment book. I think they are really
straight forward e.g. date witnessed, evidence, and examples.
The examples of what the staff witness are great. They will help
staff with how to make an appropriate assessment in their
trackers too. This fits in with the training we have been giving
– trying to condense the comments for evidence. Brilliant, thank
you.
I really like the new version and know early years advisors will
love it.
With the EYFS now well in place, we have had a number of
requests for a more detailed observation and recording system
than Trackers 0-5 – so we developed Trackers Plus
(just to reassure those who wish to carry on using Trackers 0-5,
don’t worry – these will continue to be available).
How is Trackers Plus different?
Trackers Plus displays all the Development Matters within
each Area of Learning (very much like the guidance), but here's
the benefit – alongside each of these we have provided prompts
or examples of the skills, understanding or competence to look
out for. These prompts will also help you when planning new or
extended activities. Also included are the assessment scales at
the back of the book.
At 120 pages it is almost double the size of the original
Trackers ... but as you can see we've kept the prices down and,
at certain quantities, the prices have remained the same.
Nurseries and childminders also asked for more differentiated
pricing ... which we’ve done (see below).
The best way of trying
to describe the new Trackers Plus is simply to show some
sample pages and a 'how to use Trackers Plus' page from the
book.
So here are some
sample pages from
a few of the Areas of Learning (if you are unable
to read the attached file, please click on

where you will be transferred to the Adobe Acrobat website.
This will allow you to download Adobe Acrobat Reader free of
charge).
