Speech and Language Difficulties in the Mainstream Classroom

Description

Talks can address the following topics in presentation and workshop format, and will be tailored to individual staff group/audience needs. All topics present some background theory and lots of practical activities and strategies.

• Model of language

• Developing effective listening skills

• Developing effective understanding skills

• Developing effective spoken language skills

• Speech sounds and phonics

• Enhancing vocabulary skills

• Behaviour difficulties and speech, language and communication skills

Length of presentation/s

From 1 hour to a full day, or a series of twilight sessions, dependent on requirements.

Target audience

Teachers, SENCOs, Teaching Assistants, specifically for Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4

Charges

Charges negotiable, plus travel expenses and overnight accommodation if needed.

Based in the North West, but willing to travel.
